Welcome to the UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Program. We are dedicated to the highest levels of patient care, professional education and clinical and translational research.

Our staff is comprised of an outstanding team of faculty and community vascular specialists, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, radiologists, podiatrists, rehabilitation specialists, and basic scientists. The team’s ongoing collaborations have resulted in improved techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease, earning the program international recognition as a Vascular Center of Excellence

UT Southwestern’s physicians are distinguished by expertise in many aspects of vascular disease management, including:

The faculty is involved in cutting-edge research to evaluate endovascular approaches for the treatment of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms. They have expertise with all FDA-approved devices for minimally-invasive management of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs), as well as unique access to custom and investigational devices for particularly challenging clinical problems such as fenestrated endografting, hybrid aortic repairs and endostapling. The program is the leading site for the major clinical trail evaluating carotid artery stenting and is conducting multiple clinical trials evaluating novel treatment for deep vein thrombosis. Finally, the vascular team has developed the leading procedure for the repair of infected aortic grafts, with the largest reported number of cases to date worldwide.

Our physicians have been recognized by their peers as thought leaders in vascular and endovascular surgery and have presented their research and clinical opinions at many international forums and meetings across the United States, including:
