Video Programs -- Product Development The Medical Television Center is a video production facility that produces educational video programs. Video professionals are available to provide project management, script production/development, location and studio shooting, video graphics production, 2D and 3D animation, and postproduction editing. The final video program may be distributed in a variety of formats, including 1/2"VHS, BetacamSP, DVCAM, and DVD. Project approach and costs can vary greatly depending on program objectives. Project consultation and budget preparation for video programs are provided at no charge. Multimedia Programs Multimedia programs can be coordinated and produced by Medical Television Center staff, who can provide project management, program design/authoring, graphics production, 2D and 3D animation, audio recording, video production, and CD-ROM recording. Video Operations and Engineering Special events, such as presentations, demonstrations, and surgical procedures originating from the UT Southwestern north/south campuses, Zale Lipshy University Hospital, Parkland Health and Hospital Systems, and Children's Medical Center can be shot on site by Medical Television Center staff and transmitted live to audiences in a wide variety of viewing locations. On the medical center campus, many locations, such as classrooms and lecture halls, can be accessed by way of the campus cable television system/fiber network. These special events may also be transmitted to any number of local, national, or international sites through the use of the center's link to a satellite teleport. Interactive Videoconferencing Interactive videoconferencing services may be scheduled for administrative, professional, and distance education applications. This service includes access to the UT System Office of Telecommunications Services (OTS) as well as access to public networks. Advance notice is required for technical setup and the scheduling of conference rooms, classrooms, and remote locations. Please call 214-648-3692 for pricing and scheduling information. |
